New Thing

Welcome to my blog. So here is my first debut online. Its funny, I didn't even know what a blog was a year ago. New things seem to be happening all around me, so I thought I better start doing my own as well. Since this blog is in its formative stages, I'm not sure what all it will end up containing. Many new things are going on in my life, mostly prompted by God. Its good stuff, sometimes I just need a kick in the seat of my pants.

New things: applying for an internship intensive at the International House of Prayer in Kansas City, Painting subjects I hadn't considered before as well larger sizes (AND I sold my first eleven watercolors and they weren't even to people related to me! :), playing my ukulele with a guitarist, Kelsy, for more than an audience of us, and I had to make a demo CD for my application of my singing and playing by myself. It is odd to hear oneself, I don't sound aloud like I do in my head. I am thankful to Daniel and Danielle for helping me with this project, the recording came out beautifully clear, all 7 minutes of it. :)

I'm also excited to feel at home here in hawaii. God has given me a community of friends that are my family. We have weekly adventures that range from climbing a mountain by making our own path (thankyou danielle), swing dancing, foreign film watching, defense/fight training, mud masking, and grinding 'ono' food (see I'm catchin on to the local lingo).
