Happy Birthday to Me :)

I'm 28 years old. It's a good age, I think. Well at least since the Feb. 16th I've enjoyed it so far. My housemates planned to cook me dinner the night before my birthday, and they turned it into a surprise Thai cultural dinner party. The set a full feast outside on the Lanai/porch with local palm leaves and flowers and candles as the table center piece, local Thai food along with Gisele's homemade pad thai noodles and her new specialty "lisa-summer-rolls" (like spring rolls but not fried). We had Indian music playing (closest we had to Thai), ate dinner, had wine, and talked story. Then Rachel peeks around the corner bringing cheesecake and presents to add! Lots of new art supplies, a new blue dress, and a little camera and photo albulm were among the well fitting gifts.

On my birthday I worked a half day, got a lei to wear from my supervisior, went to the beach (fell asleep there after swimming :), and went to do Harp and Bowl worship/intercession in the evening. Got to talk to family and some friends too. The weekend included an Art/Music/Fashion/Dance show at the Red Elephant-a new gallery space connected to a coffee shop, high tea- complete with fun hats and feather boas, a girls slumber party, surfing in the morning, malasadas, henna tattoos, house church, dinner then seeing Walk the Line (great movie) at the dollar theater. Today we went to hike Kaena point near the North shore. We saw WHALES!!!! :)

God is good, and I've been spoiled and loved especially in my birthday week. I think I'll just go ahead and celebrate the whole month. :)
